How secure are the available payment methods?

The security of your payment is very important to us at Kardena. That is why we only offer established payment methods and work with professional payment service providers for payment processing.
Your sensitive payment data is transmitted securely and is not sent to Kardena in unencrypted form.

Credit Card

When paying by credit card, your payment details are transmitted securely to the responsible payment service provider.
Kardena generally does not receive full access to your credit card details, such as the complete card number or the security code (CVC/CVV).
Depending on your credit card and bank, the payment may also need to be confirmed using a security procedure such as 3D Secure. You may be asked to authorize the payment using, for example:

• your banking app
• a TAN or verification code
• Face ID or fingerprint authentication
• an additional password or other security check

This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized use of your credit card.

PayPal

When paying with PayPal, the payment is processed directly by PayPal.
During checkout, you log in to your PayPal account and confirm the payment there. You do not need to provide Kardena with the bank account or credit card details stored in your PayPal account.
PayPal uses its own security and verification mechanisms to help protect payments and accounts against unauthorized use.
Depending on the individual transaction, PayPal's available buyer protection policies may also apply.

PayPal Express

PayPal Express allows you to complete your purchase particularly quickly.
Instead of entering your address and payment information again in the Kardena shop, the information required for your order can be transferred from your PayPal account after you have given your consent.
With PayPal Express, the actual payment is also processed securely through PayPal. Kardena does not receive the complete bank account or credit card details stored in your PayPal account.
PayPal Express therefore offers the same secure PayPal payment processing while reducing the number of steps required during checkout.

Are my payment details stored by Kardena?

Kardena does not require your complete credit card details, bank account credentials or PayPal login information.
Particularly sensitive payment information is processed by the respective payment service providers.
For the processing of your order, we only receive the information required to assign the payment to your order and process the payment status.

How can I recognize a secure payment?

In particular, make sure that you are shopping on the official Kardena website.
Kardena will never ask you by email or message to provide any of the following information:

• your PayPal password
• your online banking login credentials
• your complete credit card number together with the security code
• TANs or other personal authorization codes

If you receive a suspicious message, do not provide any payment or login information and contact our customer service team.

Summary

Credit Card: Secure and encrypted payment processing, with additional protection through 3D Secure where applicable.

PayPal: The payment is processed through your PayPal account. You do not need to provide Kardena with the payment details stored there.

PayPal Express: The same secure PayPal payment processing with a particularly fast and convenient checkout experience.

This allows you to choose the payment method you feel most comfortable using when shopping at Kardena.
