Smartwatch battery runs out quickly

My Kardena smartwatch's battery drains quickly

A smartwatch's actual battery life depends heavily on how it's used and which features are switched on.
A shorter battery life therefore doesn't automatically mean the battery is faulty.

Features with increased energy consumption

The following features can significantly reduce battery life:

  • high display brightness
  • long display-on time
  • Always-On Display
  • continuous health measurements
  • continuous heart rate monitoring
  • Bluetooth phone function
  • frequent notifications
  • frequent workout tracking
  • GPS usage on models equipped with this feature

How to improve battery life

  1. Reduce the display brightness.
  2. Shorten the display-on time.
  3. Switch off automatic measurements you don't need.
  4. Limit notifications to essential apps.
  5. Switch off features you don't need.
  6. Fully charge the smartwatch and monitor its battery life over several charge cycles.

After a firmware update

Power consumption may be temporarily higher after an update.
Fully charge the smartwatch, then monitor its battery life over several charge cycles.

ℹ️ Note on the Battery:
Batteries are subject to age-related wear. Maximum available capacity may decrease as the battery ages and goes through more charge cycles.
⚠️ Unusually Short Battery Life:
If your battery life has dropped significantly within a short period, despite no change in how you use the watch, please contact our support team.
💡 Tip:
If possible, please let us know how long the battery lasts after a full charge and which features you have permanently turned on.
