Kardena smartwatch won't connect to smartphone
Is your Kardena smartwatch not connecting to your smartphone? In most cases, the connection can be restored with just a few steps.
ℹ️ Note:
Make sure the smartwatch and smartphone are right next to each other during setup.
1. Check Bluetooth
First, check the following:
- Bluetooth is switched on on your smartphone.
- The smartwatch is switched on and sufficiently charged.
- The smartwatch is in close proximity to your smartphone.
Switch Bluetooth off on your smartphone, wait a few seconds, then switch it back on.
2. Connect via the app
Open the app for your Kardena smartwatch and start the device search there.
⚠️ Important:
During the initial setup, do not pair the smartwatch directly via your smartphone’s Bluetooth settings. The connection should be established via the smartwatch’s app.
3. Remove an existing Bluetooth connection
If the smartwatch has been connected before:
- Open the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone.
- Find your Kardena smartwatch.
- Select "Remove Device", "Unpair", or, on an iPhone, "Ignore this device".
- Restart your smartphone and smartwatch.
- Open the app.
- Search for the smartwatch and reconnect it.
4. Check app permissions
Depending on your smartphone, the app may require various permissions, for example for:
- Bluetooth
- nearby devices
- notifications
- background activity
- location access, if applicable
Check your smartphone’s settings to ensure the required permissions are enabled.
Still having problems?
If necessary, reset the smartwatch to its factory settings and then carry out a new setup.
