New smartphone – Reconnecting your Kardena smartwatch
New smartphone – How to reconnect your Kardena smartwatch
Have you got a new smartphone and want to use your Kardena smartwatch with it?
To ensure the transition goes as smoothly as possible, you should first completely remove the existing connection to your old smartphone.
1. Sync your data
If your old smartphone is still available, first open the smartwatch app you've been using and carry out one final sync.
⚠️ Important:
Any data that hasn't yet been synced may be lost if the smartwatch is reset.
2. Remove the smartwatch from your old smartphone
Open the smartwatch app on your old smartphone and remove or unpair the smartwatch there.
Then, if necessary, remove any existing Bluetooth connections for the smartwatch from the Bluetooth settings.
3. Install the app on your new smartphone
Install the app intended for your Kardena model on your new smartphone.
Grant the app the required permissions.
4. Connect the smartwatch
Turn on Bluetooth and open the smartwatch app.
Start the device search within the app and select your Kardena smartwatch.
⚠️ Important:
Do not pair the smartwatch directly via the Bluetooth menu on your new smartphone. Instead, use the smartwatch app to complete the setup.
5. No longer have your old smartphone?
If you no longer have access to your old smartphone, you may need to remove the existing connection or reset the smartwatch.
